About Ultra Maniac
Ultra Maniac adapts Wataru Yoshizumi's shoujo manga with magic princess Nina befriending Ayu. The OVA arrived in 2002 as a short prologue with Akiyuki Shinbo style tests. The TV series ran 26 episodes from May to October 2003 on TV Tokyo covering the school festival and stone quests with new anime-only arcs.
The manga ran 2001 to 2004 in Ribon. No second season or film has been made. The OVA and TV share the setup but diverge in side stories, so release order keeps introductions clean without strict continuity policing.
Good to know
OVA first is the recommended path, since it previews the magic computer and Nina's clumsiness in minutes. The TV run retells parts of that setup with more classmates, so expect some overlap rather than pure continuation. The manga ending differs from the anime, which is worth knowing before hunting closure. With no sequel dated, the 2003 finale closes the screen run.
