About Wedding Peach
Wedding Peach (1995 to 1996) runs 51 episodes of bridal magical-girl action: Momoko and her friends transform in wedding dress to fight devils threatening love itself. The DX OVA (1996 to 1997) continues across four episodes with the Jealousy devil arc.
Broadcast order is the guide; the OVA assumes the series' marriages of plot and romance. The show is classic 1990s magical-girl formula at feature length, which is exactly the appeal for genre fans. Nao Yazawa's manga runs parallel with differences, but the anime is the complete version. The transformation stock footage is Selekt-worthy comfort.
Good to know
The 51-episode run is a real commitment aimed at magical-girl devotees: the romance pacing is slow by modern standards. The DX OVA's four episodes adapt later manga material the TV run skipped.
