About Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku
Wotakoi follows closeted otaku Narumi reuniting with gamer Hirotaka at the same office across eleven episodes in 2018 at A-1 Pictures. The season runs convention panic and raid-night romance through the double-date finale.
Three bundled OVAs from 2019 to 2021 add a high-school prequel flashback plus company-trip side stories. The manga ended in 2021 with no second season announced. The 2020 live-action film adaptation sits entirely separately. Watch the eleven TV episodes, then the three OVAs in release order.
Good to know
Release order works with the first OVA as a Kabakura and Koyanagi high-school flashback and the later two as office side stories. The TV run plus OVAs form the complete anime. Anniversary manga material from 2025 brought no new anime. Start with the 2018 series, since the couple dynamics underpin every OVA.
