About Yasuhiro Yoshiura
Yasuhiro Yoshiura directs quiet sci-fi about people and machines sharing rooms. Time of Eve ran six web episodes 2008 to 2009 inside a cafe where androids pass as human, re-cut as a 2010 film. Patema Inverted opened as four short episodes in 2012 before the 2013 film flipped gravity between two peoples.
Sing a Bit of Harmony from 2021 puts an AI transfer student in a school musical. The shorts Pale Cocoon, Harmonie and the Patlabor Reboot stay optional. No next feature is announced. Watch each pair as ONA then film, since the films expand the same events rather than continuing them.
Good to know
Release order is the suggested path. Time of Eve and Patema each exist as ONA then film, with the film expanding rather than sequelizing, so either version works first within each pair. Sing a Bit of Harmony stands alone as the latest feature. The shorts run student scale and stay out. No next Yoshiura work carries a title or date.
