About Saga of Tanya the Evil
Youjo Senki follows salaryman turned loli mage Tanya through an alternate Great War. Season 1 ran 12 episodes January to March 2017 from NUT, ending on the Dacia rout. The 2019 film continues directly as a 115 minute sequel about the southern campaign with Mary Sue.
Season 2 ran 12 episodes July 8 to September 23, 2026. The Puyukai chibi shorts and the Isekai Quartet crossover play as extras around the main line. No further season is announced. Watch S1, then the film, then S2, since the movie bridges the war directly.
Good to know
Release order is the story order. The 2019 film sits between the seasons as a required bridge, not a side story, since season 2 assumes the southern campaign. The chibi shorts slot anywhere as extras. Isekai Quartet crosses four franchises and plays after season 1 for the jokes. No third season is announced.
