About Alvin and the Chipmunks
Alvin and the Chipmunks began with The Alvin Show in 1961, then ran eight seasons from 1983 as a Saturday-morning staple with the Chipettes added. The 1987 Chipmunk Adventure film and two late-90s monster crossovers kept the animated line going.
The live-action films from 2007 to 2015 form their own four-part tetralogy with Jason Lee, separate from every cartoon. ALVINNN from 2015 ran five seasons to 2023 as a CGI reboot. Each version resets the band, so release order is simply the tour in the order it aired.
Good to know
No Alvin version connects to another, since each show and the film tetralogy reboot the same trio. The 1983 series ran one hundred two episodes and ALVINNN ran one hundred thirty. The four live-action films play 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2015 in order. Production on ALVINNN ended with no new series or film announced, so this list is complete.
