About Backyardigans
Backyardigans follows Pablo, Tyrone, Uniqua, Tasha and Austin imagining musical worlds from the backyard. Season 1 ran 20 episodes from October 2004 to June 2006, season 2 ran 20 to January 2008, season 3 ran 20 to June 2009 and season 4 ran 20 to July 2013.
Two unaired pilots from 1998 and 2001 tested live action then animation. A planned fifth season died in 2010 when the creator moved to Winx Club. Every episode uses a new music style from ska to opera. Watch seasons 1 through 4 in order. The finale Pablor and the Acorns ends the run.
Good to know
There is no story order for Backyardigans. Every episode resets the backyard into a new genre, so release order tracks songs and animation rather than plot. The pilots are extras you can skip. No revival has been announced as of September 2026, so season 4 is the endpoint for now. Start at season 1.
