About Happy Feet
Happy Feet follows Mumble, an emperor penguin who cannot sing but can tap dance, as he finds his place in a colony that values heart songs. The film won the Oscar for best animated feature in 2007. Happy Feet Two shifts focus to Mumble's son Erik and a new threat as a giant iceberg traps the colony.
Director George Miller has mused about a third film in interviews but nothing entered production after the sequel lost money and closed Dr. D Studios. Treat the series as finished at two films unless a new project is formally announced.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order here. The sequel states plainly that Erik is Mumble's young son, so story order and release order are identical. Skip the video game tie-ins and soundtrack albums for watch purposes. They add songs and mini games but no plot needed for the films. If Miller ever greenlights a third film, it would slot after Happy Feet Two.
