About Captain N: The Game Master
Captain N opened September 1989 on NBC about teen Kevin pulled into Videoland with Mega Man, Simon Belmont and Kid Icarus at his side. Season 1 ran 13 episodes, season 2 ran 14 through 1990 with expanded game worlds and villains.
Season 3 ran 7 episodes in 1991 sharing a half hour with Super Mario World in a short close for the run. A syndicated Video Game Masters package followed in 1992 with repackaged episodes only. No revival has been announced beyond fan threads, with game cameos sitting outside canon.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through 3 in air order from start to finish. The team lineup and Mother Brain plots stack across years, so skipping breaks them badly. The season 3 shared slot trims runtimes, which explains the short close of only seven. The syndicated package only repackages these episodes with no new story.
