About Star Wars: The Clone Wars
The Clone Wars covers the war years between Episodes 2 and 3 across film and series. The theatrical film from August 2008 pilots Ahsoka's assignment, then season 1 runs 22 episodes into 2009. Seasons 2 through 5 run 22, 22, 22 and 20 across 2009 to 2013 on Cartoon Network.
Season 6 arrived as 13 Lost Missions on Netflix in 2014, and season 7 closed with 12 on Disney+ in 2020 ending on Siege of Mandalore. The 2003 micro-series stays separate. Rebels, Bad Batch and Ahsoka continue past it as their own series. Watch film, then seasons straight.
Good to know
Release order is the suggested path, though Lucasfilm publishes a chronological remix for rewatches. First timers should take release order since the animation and the war escalation build as aired. The film pilots the series and must come first. The 2003 micro-series is a separate continuity that slots anywhere or can be skipped.
