About DC Animated Universe
The DC Animated Universe runs from Batman The Animated Series in 1992 through Justice League Unlimited in 2006 in one Bruce Timm continuity. Superman, the revamped New Batman Adventures, Batman Beyond with its Joker return film, Static Shock and both Justice Leagues fill the middle years.
Watch in release order since crossovers assume it, from Gotham through Metropolis into the future and back. Films slot between their series: Phantasm with the original run, SubZero before the revamp, Batwoman with the later years, Epilogue as the coda.
Good to know
Release order doubles as continuity order for the core shows and films, so no alternate list is needed. The 2017 Batman and Harley Quinn film uses the classic designs but sits outside strict canon as an optional extra. With the finale behind it since 2006, these eleven entries are the shared universe guide.
