About Doraemon
Doraemon adapts Fujiko F. Fujio's manga about the robot cat helping Nobita with future gadgets. The 1979 series ran over a thousand episodes to 2005 with the classic voices, and the 2005 reboot continues today with new voices past another thousand episodes. Yearly films run alongside, from Nobita's Dinosaur (1980) through the 2025 Art World Tales adventure.
The Stand By Me CGI duology (2014, 2020) retells the farewell chapters as its own start. Every TV era and most films reset Nobita's life, so continuity never gates newcomers the way long runners usually do.
