About Filmation's Ghostbusters
When Columbia's 1984 film became a hit, Filmation revived its own 1975 live action property The Ghost Busters as a weekday cartoon. Jake Kong Jr. and Eddie Spenser Jr. inherited the business from their fathers and teamed with Tracy the Gorilla, fighting the ghost wizard Prime Evil across 65 episodes. Tribune Entertainment distributed the show in daytime syndication from September 8 to December 5, 1986, arriving five days ahead of the rival DIC series.
The run is episodic, with a short opening quest for scattered Bone pieces giving way to standalone hauntings. Air order from the first episode to the last is the full guide, since later episodes assume nothing beyond the premise. One item below covers the whole run.
