About Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends opens with the House of Bloo's pilot in 2004, where Mac stashes Bloo at Madame Foster's so he won't be adopted away. The series runs six seasons to 2009 with Bloo, Wilt, Eduardo and Coco under Frankie and Mr. Herriman's roof. Good Wilt Hunting from 2006 pauses the run for Wilt's creator search, and Destination: Imagination from 2008 closes the series with Frankie trapped in a friend's world.
Release order is story order with the specials placed where they aired. House of Bloo's must come first since it sets Mac's daily visits rule that every episode assumes. Good Wilt Hunting lands mid-run without breaking anything, while Destination: Imagination works only as the finale. The shorts from 2006 to 2007 are optional extras outside the list.

Watch the pilot, then the series, slotting each special where it aired. Good Wilt Hunting spoils nothing and can move around, but Destination: Imagination resolves Frankie's arc and must close. The show is episodic otherwise, so season order matters less than keeping the bookends fixed. No revival has aired, which keeps the 2008 special as the intended ending rather than a midpoint.
