About Gravity Falls
Gravity Falls ran two dense seasons on Disney from 2012 to 2014 that reward watching in broadcast order. Season 1 sets up the Mystery Shack and the journals across twenty episodes, and season 2 pays off the Author, the portal and the Weirdmageddon trilogy across twenty more.
The shorts and the graphic novel Lost Legends slot between episodes but are optional. The Book of Bill from 2024 adds Cipher's view of events plus new codes, and works best after the finale rather than during the run. The finale aired as a one-hour special and closed every journal thread.
Good to know
Release order is story order here, since Alex Hirsch planted clues that pay off seasons later. Watch the shorts after season 1 if you want every gag, and read Lost Legends after the finale to avoid soft spoilers. The Book of Bill is a lore extra for returning fans rather than a third season, so keep it last.
