About Zootopia
Zootopia pairs rookie bunny officer Judy Hopps with con-artist fox Nick Wilde to solve a missing-mammals case that points at City Hall. The film works as a standalone buddy mystery, and the Zootopia+ shorts revisit its events from the side characters' point of view.
Zootopia 2 reunites Judy and Nick for a new case involving a reptile arrival that tests the mammal city's assumptions. Watch the original first, then the shorts, then the sequel. A third film is in early development with no date, focused on new districts of the city.
Good to know
Zootopia+ is an interquel, with all six shorts set during the first film, so it lands between the two features even though it released in 2022. Watching it after the original keeps every joke intact. Zootopia 2 is a direct sequel from 2025. Zootopia 3 has been confirmed as in early development with no release date yet.
