Six seasons in order.

About Martha Speaks

Martha Speaks follows talking dog Martha, who gains speech from alphabet soup, and owner Helen across PBS from 2008. The early seasons set the word segments, family kitchen table gags, and friends Skits and Truman across 40 episodes of short lessons built around one new word at a time for young viewers.

Later seasons carry the run through 2014 with the pirate and detective movie specials framed as longer word adventures for the whole family. Each episode still teaches new words with the same family returning, so running jokes and vocab callbacks land best when the six seasons play in broadcast order from start to finish without skipping ahead.

Good to know

Watch seasons 1 through 6 in broadcast order, slotting the pirate and detective specials near their air years. Episodes stand alone for words but family jokes and neighbor bits callback week to week. Start at season 1 since word rules are clearest there. The 2014 finale closes the run with no revival dated, so treat all six seasons as the complete story as of this check.
