About Mech Cadets
Mech Cadets adapts the BOOM! comic Mech Cadet Yu, where janitor kid Stanford Yu bonds with a giant robot meant for someone else and trains with the next class of pilots. The 10 episode first season arrived on Netflix in August 2023 and covers the invasion setup through the first big battle.
Watch the episodes in order since the invasion plot builds directly. No second season has been ordered, so the 2023 run plus the original comics by Greg Pak and Takeshi Miyazawa is currently the whole story.
Good to know
The single season tells one linear invasion story, so release order is story order with no reshuffle needed. Polygon Pictures handled animation with voices including Brandon Soo Hoo, Ming-Na Wen and Daniel Dae Kim. The show is listed as ended after its 2023 season, and the comics remain the continuation for now.
