About The Muppet Show
The Muppet Show ran 120 episodes over five seasons from September 1976 to March 1981 with Kermit hosting weekly guests galore. Films followed from The Muppet Movie in 1979 through Muppets Most Wanted in 2014 with the same troupe.
Muppets Tonight ran from 1996 to 1998 as a TV return with a new host, with series in 2015 and Muppets Now in 2020 as shorter takes for streaming. A 32 minute revival special aired February 2026 on ABC with big ratings and Emmys, but no series order followed as of September 2026.

Watch the five seasons, then the films in release order fully from the start. The guest gags and troupe roles build across the series first. Later shows and the 2026 special work as extras after, since they reset rather than continue tightly. The 2026 special plays as a pilot that never went forward.
