About Penguins of Madagascar
The Penguins of Madagascar was produced by DreamWorks Animation for Nickelodeon, starring Tom McGrath as Skipper with Jeff Bennett as Kowalski. Season one ran 48 episodes from 2008, season two 68 through 2012, season three 33 to 2015 with Julien and Marlene arcs.
The show follows commando missions against Dr Blowhole and Officer X with King Julien subplots. Each half hour stands alone while Blowhole returns recur. Watch seasons one through three in broadcast order, since team trust and Julien lore layer toward the finale. The 2014 Penguins film sits in film continuity, kept out of this series path.
Good to know
Broadcast order is the recommended path across 149 episodes, since Blowhole arcs return. Start with season one opener for Central Park base setup that powers later missions. Season three finale pays off Julien and Marlene threads together, so sequential viewing helps. As an ended series run, all three seasons form the complete TV guide apart from films.
