About Ronin Warriors
Ronin Warriors follows Ryo and four teens in mystical armors fighting Talpa, starting with the 39 episode 1988 series. Three OVAs continue the story: Gaiden retells side tales, Kikoutei Legend moves the armor myth forward, and Message closes the nineties run with a short reunion.
Watch the TV series first, then Gaiden, Kikoutei Legend, then Message. The OVAs assume the TV ending and remix its armors, so they land flat without it. English dubs cover the TV run and the OVAs in the same order, which keeps release order simple for new viewers.
Good to know
Release order matches story order, because each OVA builds on the TV finale. Gaiden is the loosest of the three and can be skipped without losing Kikoutei, but Message expects both. The Japanese title Yoroiden Samurai Troopers helps when searching discs and streams. No new Ronin Warriors anime has aired since Message.
