About The Goode Family

The Goode Family follows Gerald and Helen Goode, a liberal vegan couple raising teens Bliss and Ubuntu with dog Che. Mike Judge produced thirteen episodes for ABC in 2009 with Prius and recycling gags.

Early episodes establish the Goode rules and the Tallulah neighbor war. Middle chapters add the baseball protest and the dog-vegan diet. Later episodes close with election plots that reuse earlier causes. The causes return without re-explaining, so order teaches the satire targets. Watching straight shows good intent sliding into comic guilt, which keeps each protest funny.

Good to know

Watch in broadcast order. The family causes escalate weekly, with neighbors returning. There is no second season to slot elsewhere. New viewers can sample vegan jokes, yet the later election episodes land better after seeing the early protest setup. Watch Prius and bike gags that mark each cause clearly.
