About The Shivering Truth
The Shivering Truth is a stop motion anthology where each short twists grief, work and faith into bleak jokes. Vernon Chatman links office drones, dying mothers and hollow gods through puppet gore and quiet narration. Early episodes cover the breeding seminar, the baby oven and the rules for laughing at pain.
Season two follows the labor camps, the memory pills and the push toward the last purge party. Adult Swim aired season one in late 2018 and season two in spring 2020 with six episodes each. Watch season one episodes 1 through 6, then season two episodes 1 through 6 in broadcast order, since later shorts reuse earlier puppet logic.
Good to know
Watch season one in broadcast order, then season two in broadcast order. The anthology logic only lands in sequence because early shorts set puppet rules that later shorts twist harder. Season two assumes the first run including grief seminar tone. No movie continues the plot, so twelve episodes form the full story. Track narrator setups closely since casts reset fast.
