About Thunderbirds
Thunderbirds ran 32 episodes across two seasons from September 30, 1965 to December 25, 1966 on ITV with International Rescue's five craft. Thunderbirds Are Go from 1966 and Thunderbird 6 from 1968 extend the puppet run theatrically. The live-action film from July 30, 2004 with Bill Paxton flopped on a 57 million budget.
Thunderbirds Are Go reboot ran 3 seasons from April 4, 2015 to February 22, 2020 with Weta style CG. Gerry Anderson created the original with Sylvia Anderson. No new series has been ordered since 2020.
Good to know
Original series first is the key, since the craft introductions only land there. The 1960s films slot after Series 1 and play as longer rescues. The 2004 film targets kids with Alan lead and works as a side take after the original. Are Go restarts everything and can follow or precede the original, but it spoils no classic plots. Watch Are Go in broadcast order once started.
