About Twirlywoos

Twirlywoos follows Great BigHoo, Toodloo, Chickedy and Chick as four curious birdlike creatures who visit real-world homes, cafes and harbors to learn how everyday objects work. Each episode mixes stop-motion play with live-action discovery, ending back on their boat. The CBeebies series aired four short series from 2015 to 2017.

Series 1 introduces the core routine around hiding, peeking and undoing. Series 2 and 3 add new locations like the museum and the farm while keeping the same structure. Series 4 closes the run with familiar callbacks for regular viewers. The episodes are fully standalone, so any order works, but broadcast order groups similar learning themes together.

Good to know

Watch series one through four in order for the smoothest introduction, though no plot will confuse you if you jump around. The characters do not age or change, and there are no story arcs to spoil. The main reason to keep broadcast order is pacing, since early episodes explain the peekaboo game more carefully. Once toddlers know the routine, families can safely pick episodes by location or object.
