About Universal Basic Guys
Universal Basic Guys is a Fox animated sitcom from Adam and Craig Malamut that premiered on September 8, 2024. South Jersey factory workers Mark, Darren, Hank and David lose their jobs to robots and land in a universal basic income pilot, leaving them with free time and bad ideas. Season 1 ran 13 episodes through December 2024, and season 2 premiered on September 28, 2025.
The show plays as a workplace hangout with satirical edges, as the crew burns its stipend on schemes across Glantontown. Episodes reset weekly, but friendships and rivalries carry over. Watch season 1 before season 2 in release order, since the pilot premise grounds every later plot.
Good to know
Watch season 1 from 2024 before the 2025 second season, since the basic income setup explains every scheme that follows. Episodes stand alone as sitcom plots, so order matters less for jokes than for crew dynamics. The show was renewed for season 3 ahead of season 2, so more Glantontown plots are coming. Two seasons in release order cover the run so far.
