About X-Men '97
X-Men 97 (2024) revives the 1990s animated series with the team facing a world without Professor X. Season 1 follows Cyclops leading the mansion crew through Magneto's trial, the Genosha tragedy and the Bastion conspiracy across 10 episodes. The run adapts Inferno and Operation Zero Tolerance beats with Rogue and Gambit arcs.
Watch season 1 in broadcast order since the trial, the island attack and the finale form one chain. The 10 episodes aired March to May 2024 as a serialized run. Each episode ends on plot threads that the next picks up directly. A second season was announced to continue the Bastion fallout, so treat season 1 as the complete aired run and continue with season 2 next.
Good to know
Season 1 runs 10 episodes and plays as a direct revival of the original 1990s show, though new viewers can start here with the recap. The Genosha episode is the emotional center and lands harder in order. No film splits the season. Watch all 10 in order, then follow the announced second season for the Bastion aftermath and the missing team members teased in the finale.
