About X-Men: Evolution
X-Men Evolution reimagined the mutants as Bayville teens for Kids WB. Season 1 ran 13 episodes November 2000 to May 2001, season 2 ran 17 September 2001 to May 2002 with the Brotherhood school year, and season 3 ran 13 September 2002 into 2003 around the Legacy virus and Apocalypse tease.
Season 4 ran 9 episodes August to October 2003, closing with Ascension. The run totals 52 episodes with the team aging across four school years. The Animated Series and X-Men 97 share no continuity with it. Watch in release order since the Apocalypse seeding never resets.
Good to know
Release order is the story order. The school year structure and the Apocalypse tease stack across all four seasons, so the Ascension finale only lands whole. The 2027 comic one shot pairs Evolution versions against X-Men 92 in print only and affects no animation order. No animated revival is announced. The show ended in 2003 with the team graduated.
