About Batman games
Rocksteady's Arkham run defines Batman games: Asylum (2009) traps Batman in Arkham Asylum with the Joker, City (2011) expands to a walled-off Gotham district, and Knight (2015) closes the arc with Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight across all of Gotham. WB Montreal's Origins (2013) is a prequel set years earlier with a younger Batman.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (2024) continues the Arkham continuity years later with Task Force X in Metropolis. Gotham Knights (2022) from WB Montreal runs in a separate continuity after a dead Batman, and the Telltale and LEGO games are their own universes.
Good to know
Play Asylum, City and Knight in release order for the core Rocksteady story, fitting Origins first only if you want chronology, since it spoils nothing. Knight must come last among the Arkham games because Suicide Squad builds directly on its ending. Gotham Knights, Telltale and LEGO Batman can be played any time as separate continuities with no ties to Arkham.
