About 007 Games
Bond games start with GoldenEye in 1997 adapting the film with landmark multiplayer, then branch through original stories: Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Agent Under Fire, Nightfire and Everything or Nothing. From Russia with Love in 2005, Quantum of Solace in 2008 and GoldenEye's 2010 reimagining follow the films, while Blood Stone and 007 Legends in 2012 close the Activision run.
First Light from May 2026 reboots as IO Interactive's standalone 26-year-old Bond origin with Patrick Gibson, earning strong reviews and 1.5 million day-one sales. Each era stands alone with no shared continuity, so play by interest: GoldenEye for history, Nightfire or Everything or Nothing for classic originals, First Light for the modern reboot. Release order groups them naturally.
Good to know
Play by era since continuities never connect. GoldenEye's film plot needs no prior game, and every original story resets Bond fresh. First Light assumes nothing and works as a modern entry point with Hitman-style stealth. The 2010 GoldenEye reimagining with Craig confuses searches against the 1997 original, so check dates when buying. No sequel to First Light has a date yet.
