About Crysis
Crysis arms Nomad's squad with nanosuits on the Lingshan island in 2007, ending with an alien warship reveal. Warhead from 2008 replays the same island days through Psycho's parallel mission with vehicle-heavy levels.
Crysis 2 from 2011 jumps to a 2023 New York outbreak with Alcatraz in the suit, and Crysis 3 from 2013 closes Prophet's arc in a 2047 nanodome over the city. The Remastered Trilogy collects all three with modern ports. Play 1 with Warhead, then 2 and 3. A fourth game is announced but on hold.
Good to know
Release order is story order except Warhead, which runs parallel to the first game and should be played with it. The Remastered Trilogy from 2021 retells the same three stories, so bundle owners need nothing else. Crysis 4 was announced in 2022 but put on hold in 2024 with layoffs as Crytek focused on Hunt Showdown. Play the trilogy for the complete Prophet arc.
