About Broken Sword
Shadow of the Templars from 1996 opens the Paris conspiracy with point and click puzzles, while Smoking Mirror from 1997 continues to Maya lands. Sleeping Dragon from 2003 moves to 3D, Angel of Death from 2006 closes the early run, and Serpent Curse from 2013 returns to 2D.
Reforged arrived in September 2024 as a 4K rebuild of the first game rather than the Director Cut. Broken Sword 6 called Parzival Stone was announced in August 2023 and remains in development with a film pipeline too. No date exists as of 2026.
Good to know
Play parts 1 through 5 in release order fully, with Reforged as the modern way into part 1 for newcomers. The conspiracy and banter assume prior games lightly across years. The Director Cuts add extras but Reforged replaces them visually now. The sixth game stays yearless until Revolution dates it fully.
