About ClayFighter

ClayFighter from 1993 sets clay parody fights with Bad Mr Frosty, Blob, Taffy and Blue Suede Goo across circus rings on SNES and Genesis under Interplay. Bouts use fast jabs, silly holds and stage jokes.

Tournament Edition from 1994 adds claytalities, while ClayFighter 63 1-3 from 1997 moves to Nintendo 64 with combo holds and parry moves. Sculptor's Cut from 1998 closes as a Blockbuster rental exclusive with extra fighters. Play in release order because hold timing builds. Interplay closed the run in 1998. Parody fighters spoof street and combat tropes.

Good to know

Release order is the only path for ClayFighter because fights carry no story and parody lands in sequence. Start with the 1993 original for claytality basics, then take Tournament Edition, 63 1-3 and Sculptor's Cut in turn. Rental-exclusive fighters work best after core holds are fully known. Hold timing decides later bouts cleanly.
