About Cuphead
Cuphead (2017) runs Cuphead and Mugman through Inkwell Isle bosses after losing to the Devil, opening September 29, 2017 for Win and Xbox One from Studio MDHR, with Switch April 18, 2019 and PS4 July 28, 2019. The Delicious Last Course DLC (2022) adds Ms Chalice and Inkwell Isle IV across new bosses from June 30, 2022 on all platforms.
The DLC assumes you can parry, dash and EX, with higher damage checks than the base. No sequel has been announced. Play base to Devil first, then Last Course once you beat the Mausoleums, since Chalice cookies change early bosses too much for learning.
Good to know
Release order matches skill order, with the DLC tuned for end game charms. Do not start with Chalice, since her double jump and roll skip teaches bad parry habits. The base holds 19 bosses plus King Dice, while the DLC adds 7 more plus the Saltbaker finale. Treat the set as complete, with MDHR on new IP and no Cuphead 2 dated.
