About 50 Cent
50 Cent games star the rapper in third person shooters with G Unit crew. Bulletproof launched November 2005 on PS2 and Xbox from Genuine Games about an ambush and corruption web, with a PSP top down G Unit Edition in 2006. Blood on the Sand followed February 2009 on PS3 and Xbox 360 from Swordfish about a stolen diamond skull in a war torn state.
Vivendi published the first run and THQ the second after the Activision merger shuffle. Bulletproof drew mixed scores while Blood on the Sand earned better marks for co op cover and rap tone, but both flopped commercially with no third game since.
Good to know
Release order matches the intended crew ramp, with Bulletproof teaching cover and counter kills before the louder sequel. Stories reset city and villain, so Blood on the Sand can start alone, but G Unit jokes land better after Bulletproof. Co op helps the sequel most, with drop in play built for two.
