About Double Fine
Double Fine opened with Psychonauts in 2005 diving Raz through minds. Brutal Legend followed in 2009 mixing metal and RTS with Jack Black. Broken Age arrived in 2014 splitting Vella and Shay point and clicks.
Psychonauts 2 came in 2021 returning to the Motherlobe with acrobatics. The games share jokes and art but saves never carry. Release order shows the LucasArts roots widening from camps to studios with the same warmth intact throughout. The brain doors and metal riffs carry every quest with jokes. The camp badges and stage lights fill every quest with gags.
Good to know
Play Psychonauts 1 before 2 since the camp grammar returns there. Brutal suits metal nights while Broken wants calm clicks. Psychonauts 2 closes as the peak to give full focus. No next game has a date yet, so the 2021 mind entry stays last until one lands. The crowdfund love confirms the camp, so give Psychonauts full attention.
