About Edmund McMillen
Edmund McMillen makes roguelikes with Team Meat, Nicalis and Tyler Glaiel. Super Meat Boy arrived October 2010 with Tommy Refenes. Binding of Isaac arrived September 2011 in Flash with Wrath of Lamb in 2012, then Rebirth remake in November 2014 replaced both. Afterbirth arrived 2015 with Afterbirth Plus in 2017 adding mods, Repentance in 2021 from Antibirth and Repentance Plus beta in 2024 with online play.
End is Nigh arrived July 2017 as Meat Boy successor. Legend of Bum-bo arrived November 2019 as Isaac cardboard prequel. Mewgenics arrived February 2026 on Steam with Switch 2 and current consoles in September 2026 after reboot from 2012 cancel. Super Meat Boy Forever 2020 stays out as Refenes only without McMillen.
Good to know
Play Meat Boy, then Rebirth with stacked expansions, then End is Nigh, Bum-bo and Mewgenics. Do not play Flash Isaac separately since Rebirth includes it. Play Bum-bo after Isaac for context though in fiction prequel. Meat Boy, End is Nigh and Mewgenics stand alone. Keep release order and add Mewgenics console physical in 2027 at the end if needed.
