About Endless
Endless tracks the Dust precursors across Amplitude strategy. Endless Space in 2012 spans eight factions, Dungeon of the Endless in 2014 mixes roguelike tower runs, Endless Legend in 2014 defines winter factions, and Endless Space 2 in 2017 widens heroes. Humankind in 2021 replays history with cultures outside Dust but same design.
Entries stand alone by planet with no story order to follow. New players often start with Endless Legend with expansions, Endless Space 2 with expansions, or Humankind for history taste. DLC belongs with its base game rather than apart, since quests and heroes stack there.
Good to know
Release order shows Dust grow from space to dungeons to legends, but start with Legend or Space 2 complete where possible. Endless Legend teaches winter control best, Space 2 runs widest with heroes, and Humankind plays newest with cultures. Campaigns never share Dust, so skip eras freely after one full run. Treat Humankind as latest rather than last.
