About Fez
Gomez lives in a flat 2D village until a cube shard shows him the third dimension, and Fez from 2012 builds everything on rotating that world. Each screen hides paths behind perspective: turn the view and platforms align, doors open, and maps reveal keys. The 32-cube main quest runs about ten hours across villages, ruins, and bell towers.
The post-game opens the real hunt, with monoliths, crypt alphabets, and owl statues hiding a second layer of puzzles that took the internet years. The New Game Plus carries solutions forward for the full 64-cube close. Play start to finish in one run, since the village layout and the tetromino codes reward continuous memory.
Good to know
The rotation gimmick never overstays, since each zone adds a twist like crates, bombs, or warp gates. Late puzzles turn cryptographic, so keep notes on the alphabet and the number systems. The famous ending needs the 32-cube path first, then the full clear for the second close. Fez 2 was announced and cancelled in 2013, so this single game plus its secrets is the whole order.
