About Frozenbyte
Frozenbyte opened with Shadow Grounds in 2005 as a top down alien run. Trine followed in 2009 with three heroes sharing puzzles, then Trine 2 in 2011 widening the woods. Trine 3 arrived in 2015 going 3D halfway.
Has-Been Heroes came in 2017 as a roguelike lane battler, and Trine 4 in 2019 returned the trio to form. The games share glow and co-op but saves never carry. Release order shows the physics puzzles growing from shadows to storybooks. The glow co-op and giant bosses carry every tale with light.
Good to know
Play Shadow Grounds first since the top down base sets the studio roots. The Trine run plays best in release order as powers return. Has-Been breaks the run as the hard one. No next game has a date yet, so the 2019 trio entry stays last until one lands. The Steam love confirms the trio, so give Trine full attention.
