About Hearthstone
Hearthstone launched March 11, 2014 on PC and Mac from Blizzard as free card battler in Warcraft. Yearly expansions add about 135 cards three times a year with Core rotation. Early years run Naxx through Mean Streets with standard formats.
Year of Scarab 2026 brought Core refresh March 17, Cataclysm March 17, and Escape from Violet Hold July 7 with Prepare keyword. A third 2026 set lands around November. Play in release order for keyword curve, or start latest for standard decks with free core decks.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Hearthstone worth listing, since sets have no story and release order is the only path. The mana curve stays fixed, later sets only add keywords like Prepare. Start with the latest standard year for live ladders, then sample wild freely. Later sets run with English clients and Battlegrounds modes.
