About Housemarque
Housemarque opened its arcade run with Super Stardust HD in 2007 as a sphere shooter. Dead Nation followed in 2010 with top down zombies, then Resogun in 2013 launched PS4 with cylinders. Alienation arrived in 2016 with drop in aliens.
Nex Machina came in 2017 as the twin stick close, and Returnal in 2021 moved to roguelike third person on Atropos. The games share particles and loops but saves never carry. Release order teaches the dodge and chain steps best. The particle loops and leaderboard chases carry every run with glow.
Good to know
Play oldest to newest since the loops build that way well. Stardust first sets the orbit base for the run. Resogun and Returnal pair as the launch peaks to give full focus. Nex Machina suits stick nights. No next game has a date yet, so the 2021 Atropos entry stays last until one lands. The launch love confirms the craft, so give Returnal full attention.
