About Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Kingdom Come Deliverance follows Henry of Skalitz, a blacksmith’s son turned retainer, through the 1403 Bohemian civil war with realistic swordplay and survival needs. The 2018 original is a slow, systems-heavy RPG that rewards patience.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 from February 2025 continues Henry’s story directly with larger towns and a refined combat loop. Three story DLCs from 2025 close out his arc: Brushes with Death, Legacy of the Forge and Mysteria Ecclesiae. Play the first game, then the sequel and its DLCs in order.
Good to know
Release order is story order, since the sequel starts where the original ends and the DLCs slot after the main campaign. The Royal Edition bundles the sequel with all three DLCs and is the version to buy now. Henry’s story is complete as of Mysteria Ecclesiae in November 2025. A Switch 2 Royal Edition port is planned for 2027, with a new series project behind it.
