About Level-5

Level-5 debuted with Dark Cloud in 2000 on PS2 about Toan rebuilding towns with atla weapons. Dragon Quest VIII in 2004 about Hero and Yangus plus Rogue Galaxy in 2005 set RPG highs with Akihiro art.

Professor Layton in 2007 about Hershel and Luke plus Inazuma Eleven in 2008 about Mamoru plus Ni no Kuni in 2011 about Oliver set puzzle and sports runs. Each series resets but shares charm, so newcomers start with Layton before Dark Cloud for tools. The pace stays steady across entries, with each part adding new faces without losing the core tone. New jobs appear often, with each fix teaching care without losing humor and keeping friends clear.

Good to know

There is no shared story to reorder since series stand alone with new casts each time. Play Layton first for entry puzzles, then try Dark Cloud for action. Treat the run as ongoing since Level-5 ships often, with Ni no Kuni as the current classic endpoint. Plan extra time for finales, since later parts assume full knowledge of earlier twists.
