About Lollipop Chainsaw
Lollipop Chainsaw from June 2012 follows cheerleader Juliet Starling with Nick head through a zombie school, directed by Suda with a James Gunn script. It sold 1.24 million before music licenses pulled it from stores around 2017.
RePOP arrived September 2024 from Dragami as a full remake with the same story plus new combos, auto fire and soundtrack fixes across PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC. Back2Back was announced at Tokyo Game Show in September 2026 for PlayStation 5 in 2027 with Tabata directing, plus an anime take announced in 2025.
Good to know
New players should start with RePOP, since it replaces the delisted original cleanly. The original matters only for soundtrack purists and 360 era quirks. Back2Back stays dated 2027 until Dragami locks a day, so treat its slot as a plan rather than a promise. An anime version is also in work but undated.
