About Mario Party
Mario Party started December 1998 on N64 with boards and minigames. Parts 2 and 3 in 1999 and 2000 close N64, parts 4 through 7 from 2002 to 2005 run GameCube, and 8 in 2007 moves to Wii. 9 in 2012 and 10 in 2015 change to car movement.
Super in 2018 returns to classic stars, Superstars in 2021 remakes N64 boards and Jamboree in October 2024 adds 7 boards with Switch 2 edition July 2025. Handhelds Advance, DS, Island Tour, Star Rush and Top 100 sit outside mains. No new game beyond Jamboree DLC has been announced as of September 2026.
Good to know
There is no story order for Mario Party. Boards and stars reset each game, so release order is the only list. Superstars is the best classic remake while Jamboree from 2024 is the active game. Handhelds play fine but change boards. The series stays active through Jamboree updates as of September 2026.
