About No More Heroes
No More Heroes began with Grasshopper in 2007 about otaku assassin Travis Touchdown ranking through Santa Destroy with his beam katana. Desperate Struggle (2010) continues the ranked fights with Sylvia's setup. Travis Strikes Again (2019) traps Travis in indie-game parodies with Badman, and No More Heroes III (2021) closes against the alien prince Jess-Baptiste.
Suda has said in interviews the trilogy closed Travis's ranked story by design, with no fourth game dated as of 2026. The motel hub and the wrestling-boss structure run through every entry with the same otaku jokes intact.
Good to know
Play one through three in release order with Travis Strikes Again between two and three, since the UAA ranks and the Sylvia reveals assume the run. The minigames and the money grinding stay tedious on purpose, so expect the jobs between fights. The third game's alien pivot divides fans, but it closes Travis directly rather than resetting him.
