About Planet Coaster
Planet Coaster builds theme parks with piece by piece coasters and staff wages. The 2016 original plus Spooky and Adventure DLC defines King Coaster career, while Planet Coaster 2 from 2024 adds pools flumes and franchise sharing with ongoing seasons.
Entries stand alone by park with no story order to follow. New players often start with Console Edition complete for pads, or Planet Coaster 2 for current water tools. DLC belongs with its base game rather than apart, since rides and shops stack there with no prior save needed.
Good to know
Release order shows parks grow from coasters to pools, but start with the complete edition you own. Planet Coaster 1 teaches queue math best with mods, Planet Coaster 2 runs newest with water light, and console ports play simpler with pads. Parks never share saves, so skip eras freely after one full run. Treat 2 as latest rather than last.
