About RollerCoaster Tycoon
RollerCoaster Tycoon builds scenario parks with peep nausea and mechanic repairs. The 1999 original plus Added Attractions and Loopy Landscapes defines corkscrews, RCT 2 in 2002 adds Six Flags licenses, RCT 3 in 2004 moves to 3D rider cams, and World in 2016 reboots with piece building.
Entries stand alone by park with no story order to follow. New players often start with RCT Classic mobile for touch, RCT 2 Triple Thrill for scenarios, or RCT 3 Complete for 3D cams. Expansions belong with their base game rather than apart, since rides and shops stack there.
Good to know
Release order shows peeps grow from sprites to 3D to UGC, but start with Classic Complete where possible. RCT 1 teaches nausea flow best with mods, RCT 2 runs widest scenarios, and RCT 3 plays newest 3D with fireworks. Parks never share saves, so skip eras freely after one full run. Treat World as the endpoint with Classic as the way back.
