About Shining Force
Shining Force starts in 1992 with Max and Guardiana in grid battles against Runefaust. Shining Force II from 1993 follows Bowie years later with a new Force, while CD from 1994 mixes Game Gear books for Sega CD.
Scenario 2 and 3 from the late 1990s continue the Saturn Shining Force III saga with Synbios, Medion and Julian paths. Feather from 2008 on DS and Neo from 2005 on PS2 reboot tactics with action blends. The lands share lore but reset casts, so release order suits battle growth over plot.
Good to know
Play the 1992 original first for the tactics base, then II for the peak run. CD suits handheld fans after the pair. The Saturn trilogy needs all three scenarios in order for the full war. Feather and Neo fit last as modern branches rather than parts four. No new Force had been dated as of September 2026.
